Please don’t take this away from me
This bright, calm world that I can see
With the cool, cool shade from the golden trees
Please don’t take this away from me
Please don’t rob me of reality
With the moonlight smiling down on me
With light and love and eternal peace
Please don’t rob me of reality
Please let me stay here as long as I can
With the calming tide and the shining sand
With the crickets singing as loud as they can
Please let me stay here as long as I can
Please let me keep this in my mind
Let this picture reflect on all mankind
And the hell in my head left far behind
Please let me keep this in my mind
Please don’t think any worse of me
For the horrible demon that I can be
When the chemicals align unnaturally
Please don’t think any worse of me
Please let this be the world I see
This glimpse of the earth through the hole in the tree
More beautiful than I ever dreamed it could be
Please let this be the world I see
Please don’t take this away from me
This bright, calm world that I can see
With the cool, cool shade from the golden trees
Please don’t take this away from me
eyes briefly glancing over the puddle of vomit
not a care in the world
the flies are perfectly happy to swim in it
the smell just a brief dying trace of a life once lived
ears briefly taking note of the bloodcurdling screams
the rasping, dripping with blood and sweat
rushing over torn vocal chords
like a tsunami of ballistic lava
skin briefly rippling with goosebumps as the cold, cold blade dances over its surface
body of smoke, mind of thin plate glass
foam pouring from every opening
these are the last dying days of my world
pools of steaming, corrosive sludge
pouring over my body
consuming me in a beautifully horrible epilogue
of fire, of acid, of searing heat and of deathly cold
shivering, spasming, seizures of vast chemical electricity
burning flesh, burning mind
one day there is to be no more
one day it shall all be silent
the soft, still pillow of silence
come to me
comfort me
end me
one day it shall all be silent
one day it shall all be gone
The “Yama” camera, built by Wayne Martin Belger, is made of the actual fossilized skull of a 16th-century Tibetan woman. With one hand-built vintage pinhole lens installed in each eye socket, and embedded with over $5,000 worth of real rubies and sapphires, it prints haunting 3D dual images on pneumatically activated film. It is the only one of its kind in the world.

Dear College Students,
You still don’t know anything yet. That fancy education is worth nothing at all if it doesn’t make you realize how truly useless it is.
So, while you’re here, follow the guidelines (even though you won’t understand them for now) -
A smile is universal currency.
Talk less.
Look around before you start to take pictures. Doesn’t matter what model camera you have. It will never do it justice.
Climb the mountain because you’re afraid of heights.
Eat it. You can lose weight later.
Listen to them. They have such interesting stories.
Let it go - there’s better coming.
But most importantly, never ever think you know what’s going to happen next.
(And learn to love that.)
Beso, Patagonia.

is Light. It doesn’t come weighing on you the way an ocean of thoughts do and only a teacup is there to hold on to. You don’t long for the waves anymore. You lay on the sand and become the current.
